Strengthening two stairwells in a nine-story building. The scope of work required a new steel bracket to be installed under each landing prior to removing a 100mm section of concrete and covering with a steel plate – allowing the stairs to slide and not compact in the event of a shake. The works were carried out in the evenings and weekends to ensure the buildings occupants did not suffer undue disruption.
The SUMMIT team worked with the Landlord to ensure the tenants requirements were met. This meant working odd hours and a stringent clean regime at the end of each shift.
